2020 will forever be known as the year of banana bread. While always a classic comfort food, the recent popularity and love of banana bread has gone through the roof. It’s clear to see why…the warm notes of carmelized brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon wafting through the house as it bakes. Enjoy it as is. Slather on a pat of butter. Or top it off with a sprinkled glaze. However you serve it, eat it, and enjoy it…banana bread cannot be beat. So thaw those frozen overripe bananas from the freezer that I know you all have and get to baking some good ol’ banana bread comfort.

In a kitchen mixing bowl mash the bananas up with a fork and add in the vanilla, yogurt, sugar, butter, and eggs and mix until combined. Add in all the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Make sure not to overmix the batter at this stage. With a spatula, hand mix the sprinkles into the batter and pour into a sprayed and parchment lined 9×5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes in a 350 degree oven and let fully cool before glazing. 


Banana Bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened 
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 bananas, overripe
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup Sprinkle Pop “Unicorn Rainbow” sprinkles



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray and parchment line a 9×5 inch loaf tray.
  2. Mash bananas up with a fork in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add in sugar, yogurt, eggs, and vanilla and mix until smooth.
  4. Add in flour, baking soda, and salt and mix batter is combined.
  5. With a spatula hand mix in the sprinkles.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees. Let fully cool on rack.
  7. In a small mixing bowl mix the icing sugar and milk (a tablespoon at a time) with a whisk until you reach desired glaze consistency.
  8. Drizzle glaze on top of fully cooled banana bread.
  9. Sprinkle the sprinkles on top of the glaze and enjoy!
