Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year. The lights. The merriment. The gathering of friends and family. But I think it’s safe to say that the rush of the season, the never-ending to-do list, can often feel a bit overwhelming. This is a super easy and super adorable DIY Christmas craft that will double up as a great teacher, co-worker, or neighbor appreciation gift. Skip going to the store for a thank-you present and make these homemade hot cocoa ornaments instead!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Clear Plastic Crafting Ornaments (or other clear containers with lids would work)
- 1 c. Cocoa Powder
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Mini Marshmallows
- Traditional Christmas Sprinkle Mix
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In order to make the hot cocoa mix, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar and salt.
- Pour 3 tbsp of hot cocoa mix into the bottom of the plastic ornament.
- Top hot cocoa mix with a layer of mini marshmallows.
- Top marshmallows with sprinkles.
- Close ornaments.
